High atop Napa’s Atlas Peak, Acumen crafts distinct Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc from certified organic and sustainably farmed vines with a mineral core thanks to the volcanic soils of the mountain.

Kerr Cellars is an award winning winery founded in 2008 by professional golf star and Sommelier Cristie Kerr to share her passion for fine wine. The winery focuses on meticulous attention to detail in every aspect of the winemaking “agro ad amphorum” from “soil to bottle”.  The wines are crafted by Helen Keplinger.   Explore the small production wines in a private guided tasting at the Kerr Cellars tasting room.

Mark’s unique background in science and ecology would enable him to embrace a different approach to all aspects of winemaking research. He performed comparison studies regarding yeasts, fermentation dynamics, oak treatments and pressing regimes using replication and the scientific method. Through these studies, Mark was fortunate to be able to fine-tune the incredibly unique style of winemaking he’s widely known for today.

Mark’s enthusiasm for making wine took on a life of its own, leading to the creation of the critically acclaimed Merus in 1998; his first Cabernet label crafted at his home garage in downtown Napa.
